Car Replacement – Terms & Conditions

1. Definition of the Service

The Car Replacement Service provides the customer with a substitute vehicle if the rented car becomes unusable due to a covered event as defined in the rental agreement.

This service ensures continuous mobility throughout the rental period.


2. Service Availability

Confort Pack – Included

The Car Replacement service is included only for customers with the Confort Pack.

No additional fees apply.


Basic Pack & Enhanced Pack – Extra Fees Apply

For customers who did not choose the Confort Pack, the Car Replacement service is still available, but additional charges will apply, including:

  • Service activation fee
  • Daily fee for the replacement vehicle
  • Additional refundable deposit (depending on vehicle category)
  • Availability based on fleet and situation

Exact fees are communicated upon request.


3. Eligibility Conditions

The Car Replacement service may be activated in the following situations:

✔️ Major mechanical breakdown

Not caused by the driver and preventing normal usage of the vehicle.

✔️ Accident covered under the contract guarantees

A replacement vehicle may be provided after an accident report, according to the pack conditions.

✔️ Non-driver-responsible incident

Examples: fire, theft or attempted theft, severe electrical failure, etc.


4. Situations Not Covered

The service will not be provided free of charge if:

  • Damage results from driver negligence or violation of the rental conditions
  • Driving under the influence (alcohol, drugs, etc.)
  • Misuse of the vehicle (unauthorized off-road use, overload, etc.)
  • Delayed incident report or missing police report (when required)
  • Failure to meet age or driving license requirements

In these cases:
➡️ All costs of the replacement vehicle are fully charged to the customer.


5. Replacement Vehicle Category

The provided replacement vehicle depends on:

  • Fleet availability
  • Initial category rented
  • Possible equivalence at the time of request

The rental company reserves the right to provide a vehicle of similar or lower category, depending on availability.


6. Duration of Provision

Confort Pack:

  • Up to the end of the original rental contract.

Basic Pack & Enhanced Pack:

  • Limited duration based on the chosen formula
  • Daily fees apply

7. Activation Procedure

To activate the Car Replacement service, the customer must:

  1. Immediately contact customer support or the assistance hotline
  2. Provide a clear report of the incident
  3. Present the required documents:
    • Rental contract
    • Police report (if applicable)
    • ID + driver’s license

A verification will be performed to confirm eligibility.


8. Refundable Deposit

Confort Pack:

No additional deposit required.

Basic Pack & Enhanced Pack:

An extra refundable deposit may be requested depending on the vehicle category.


9. Limitations

The service does not cover:

  • Fuel for the replacement vehicle
  • Traffic fines
  • Delivery fees outside the standard perimeter
  • Optional extras (GPS, baby seat, additional insurance options)

10. Acceptance

Activating the Car Replacement service implies full acceptance of the conditions listed above.
